Security and data integrity have been top-of-mind from the earliest days of OERCA development. In fact, when the decision was made to move OERCA to a web-based platform, security benefits of a web-based platform became one of the primary factors in making that decision. Web-based technology has come light years in the recent past and provides a multitude of benefits that simply are not economical for most organizations to achieve with internal or local data systems.
OERCA benefits from the full built-in security capabilities of Microsoft SQL 2012 and proprietary enforcement at the application server level. Every single “page” within OERCA is tested against security protocols each time a user accesses that page, no matter how many users are working within OERCA simultaneously.
Beyond multiple tiers of “system” security, OERCA employs the use of specific user log-in, passwords, user roles, group roles and validation of each. This includes user management and tracking allowing administrators to enter or edit user security information and track user activity.
Per client user requirements, OERCA can also limit the devices and/or computers that can be used to access OERCA.
Additional proprietary code has been developed for OERCA that goes beyond today’s available security technology. Contact us for more detailed information on OERCA security, or visit our "Security Features" page for additional information.
