Summary
The Animal Sources list is a centralized directory of vendors used for animal acquisitions. It can include both one-time sources and recurring vendors. This list serves as a predefined drop-down menu available throughout The Animal Welfare App, such as when new Individuals or Collections are received using the Animal Registry.
Animal Sources can be added at either the Company Admin level or the Facility/Department level:

If configured at the Company Admin level, the source will appear as an option in all configured Facilities/Departments for the company.

If configured at the Facility/Department level, the source will appear only within that specific Facility/Department.
Adding Sources in Company Admin
To add Animal Sources at the Company level; your User Permission Group must be "Admin".
- Click the Company Settings button (gear icon)
- Click the Animal Sources link
- Click the Add a Source button to clear the Animal Source form for a new entry.
- Fill out any relevant information for that Animal Source. The only required field is the Company name. This is what will display in all relevant dropdown menus.
- Click the Submit button when complete.
Adding Sources in Facility/Department Settings
To add Animal Sources at the Facility/Department level; your User Permission Group must be "Facility Management".
- Click the Facility Settings button (gear icon)
- Click the Sources link
- Click the Add a Source button to clear the Animal Source form for a new entry.
- Fill out any relevant information for that Animal Source. The only required field is the Company name. This is what will display in all relevant dropdown menus.
- Click the Submit button when complete.
