Summary
OERCA's Animal Weights tool allows you to record and track the weight and body condition of animals in your collection.
To enter Animal Weights for an INDIVIDUAL, follow these steps:

Click on "Animal Weights " within the Animal menu on the left-hand Navigator panel.
NOTE: Your menu items may differ depending on your Facility Type and Configuration.
- Click the Individual button. This will filter the animal list to all Individual profiles. You can use the "Find" search field to narrow the selection.

Animal panel: Select the animal you are recording a weight for from the panel on the left.

Date: This will always default to the current date. To change the date, click inside the field and select a different date from the date picker.

Unit: Select the Unit of Measurement for your weight record.

Read Weight: Enter the weight as shown on your scale.

Post Weight Tare [Optional]: If you are using a device such as a stretcher or kennel that needs to be subtracted from read weight (Tare weight), you can enter that in the Post Weight Tare field. This amount will automatically be subtracted from the read weight and show in the Actual Weight field.

Body Condition: Enter a body condition score on a 1 - 5 scale.

Comments: Enter any comments you might want to include.

Click on the Submit button when finished.
To enter Animal Weights for an COLLECTION, follow these steps:

Click on "Animal Weights " within the Animal menu on the left-hand Navigator panel.

- Click the Collection button. This will filter the animal list to all Collection profiles. You can use the "Find" search field to narrow the selection.

Animal panel: Select the animal you are recording a weight for from the panel on the left.
- Specimen ID: Collections require the use of a "Specimen ID" to track data from specimens that are part of a group. If you have already created a Specimen ID for the animal you are weighing, you can select an existing ID's by clicking on the folder icon. If you need to create a new Specimen ID, click on the plus icon.
