STEP-BY-STEP: How to edit or void existing records

- Facility Manager Group
- Trainer/Aquarist/Caregiver Group
In Edit Center (Located on the Main Menu), Authorized Users can edit or void a number of existing records, from Body Temperatures to Session Records.
To Edit an existing record:
- Open the Edit Center from the Main Menu.
- Select the "record type" from the buttons on the left-hand menu.
- Search for the record by Animal, Date and/or in some instances by User.
- Once located, make necessary changes directly to the fields in the right-side component.
- Select "Submit" to save changes.
To Void an existing Session Record:
- Select the "Sessions" tab to edit Session Records.
- Search for the record by Animal, Date and/or Trainer.
- Once located, select "Void" from the menu choices at the bottom right of the dialog.
- In the "Void this Session" pop-up, check the "Void this Session" box and enter the Reason for voiding the record.
- Select "Submit" to complete the void.
NOTE: Session Records are a regulatory requirement. Therefore OERCA protects all records by tracking changes in transactional archives. Additionally, no record can be fully deleted from the system, only "voided," which merely moves the record to a static depository.
Edit Body Temperatures, Edit Body Weights, Edit Freezer or Cooler Temperatures, Edit Hot Sheets, Edit Morphometrics or measurements, Edit Nursing records, Edit Respirations, Edit Session records, Edit Water Quality.
