Summary
The Diver Status Selection tool is a way to create an internal Company defined "Status" that divers will be assigned to in the Diver Profile. This is very similar to the Diver Title assignment; however, it is not directly linked to a diver certification level and offers the Company flexibility to create customized "Status" delegations.
IMPORTANT: It is necessary to configure Diver Status before you can complete Diver Profiles.
NOTE: The Diver Status and Diver Title configurations are both used to create your company's internal dive rules; which are configured using the Dive Operation Settings. These settings utilize an eligibility matrix that determine whether a diver is qualified to participate in any scheduled dive. These rules can be as restrictive or relaxed as you company requires.
To create a new Diver Status (or edit existing Status) follow these steps:
-
Go to the Settings Menu from your Company's Dive Facility by clicking the gear icon.
-
Click on the "Diver Status Selection" button.
-
Enter a Status label in the text field under the "Status" column; and you can [optional] also enter a brief description in the text field under the "Description" column.
NOTE: If you are only editing the name of an existing Status, make the desired changes in the appropriate field and submit the change.
NOTE: You must configure at least one Status category in the system to be able to schedule dives and utilize the dive log. Companys that do not have very restrictive dive rules will often only create a single "generic" Status (e.g. General Diver) to fulfill the systems minimum requirements; and allow for a very lenient dive rules.
-
Enter a numerical value for the order you would like the selected Status to show and progress in in the diver profile.
-
Be sure the "Active" box is checked for that Diver Status. If the "Active" box is not checked, that Diver Status will not show up in any of the Diver tools.
-
Click on the "Submit" button in the lower right hand corner to enter information.
