Summary
In OERCA, data is organized for each Company by defining virtual "Facilities", which in turn may have multiple Areas/Exhibits (habitats) within them. To make changes to a Facility's settings, or to add/modify Areas/Exhibits within a Facility, you will use the Facility & Exhibit management tool.
TIP: For more information on how data is structured in OERCA, you can take a look at our knowledge base article Facility & Area Structure.
In Facility & Exhibit management you can:
- Edit Facility Address
- Select Time Zone
- Set preferences for measurements, weights, temperatures and more
- Add or edit "Areas/Exhibits" within each Facility
- Designate types of filtration systems for each Area/Exhibit
- Mark whether each Area/Exhibit is Active
NOTE: OERCA System Admin must add any new Facilities and assign Facility Types (i.e. - marine mammal, aquarium, terrestrial, etc.). If you require additional Facilities to be added under your Company Profile, contact OERCA Support.

Note: If you need to record Environmental data for an area that does NOT house animals (such as a water intake or holding basin), you can check the "Environmental Results Only" box. This will allow you to configure testing parameters for the area, but it will not show up in animal related tools such as the Registry.
Tip: If you need to edit an Area/Facility, select the Area/Facility from the list and then click on the "Edit" button.
