ADDING NEW INVENTORY ITEMS TO COMPANY PHARMACY
Follow the steps below to ADD NEW PHARMACY ITEMS to your Company inventory or to ADD NEW LOTS to existing Pharmacy Items.

Go to the Health Module

Click on the "Pharmacy" link.

Click the "NEW ITEM" button.
IF YOU ARE ADDING NEW PHARMACY ITEMS NOT ALREADY IN INVENTORY,
FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
Note: A "NEW" pharmacy item would be any vitamin/medication that is not already in your Company Pharmacy OR does not have an existing concentration and/or Type/Mode already defined. If you have already received the inventory item with the same concentration and mode, see instructions below on how to replenish existing pharmacy items.
Important: Each field below with a RED asterisks (*) is a REQUIRED field.

Select a Storage Location from the dropdown menu.

Click the "New Pharmacy Item" button.

Click cursor inside the "Select Inventory Item" field to launch the "Lookup - New Pharmacy Item" tool.

Enter Concentration of pharmacy item.

Enter Type/Mode of pharmacy item (e.g. tablet, capsule, liquid, etc.).

Enter Count/Package (i.e. how many tablets, capsules, etc. per package).

Select the appropriate Inventory Type (General, Controlled or Secured) from the available selections.

Enter a unique Lot Number for the pharmacy item.

Enter the Expiration Date of the Lot being received.

Enter the Quantity on hand. This should be the total number of units as they will be prescribed (i.e. tablets, capsules, etc.).

Check the "Inv. Track" button if you would like the system to track your inventory stock as it is administered via Therapy Plans, and be sure the "Active" box is checked.

Click the green checkmark to submit item.
IF YOU ARE REPLENISHING YOUR PHARMACY INVENTORY WITH AN ITEM THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN RECEIVED IN THE SYSTEM, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
Note: "Replenishing" a pharmacy item would apply to any vitamin/medication that has already been received into your Company Pharmacy with an existing concentration and/or Type/Mode already defined. In other words, ONLY a new Lot Number needs to be received, along with quantities and expiration date.

Select a Storage Location from the dropdown menu.

Click the "Existing Item - New Lot" button.

Select an existing inventory item from the dropdown menu OR, you can click the small magnifying glass to the right of the dropdown menu to launch a "Lookup - Existing Item" search window which is often an easier way to find existing inventory items; particularly if your stock list is extensive.

Select the appropriate Inventory Type (General, Controlled or Secured) from the available selections.

Enter a unique Lot Number for the pharmacy item.

Enter the Expiration Date of the new lot being received.

LOOKUP WINDOW
When you are adding a new inventory item or an existing item you may want to utilize the "lookup" search tool to make finding items easier. If you are entering a new item, this tool is launched by clicking inside the "Select Inventory Item" field.
If you are adding a new lot to an existing item, you will click on the small white magnifying glass to the right of the dropdown menu.
