Summary
OERCA's Dive Module was built to allow managers to schedule dive operations in advance, so team members can plan their day and know exactly what activities are assigned for each dive. As dives are scheduled, OERCA will also use the information to calculate pressure groups and prevent any divers from being assigned to dives that would put them at risk. Once a dive is recorded; the actual information from that dive will then be applied to these calculations moving forward.
The dive log in OERCA was designed to be used in "real time". In other words, the easiest way to utilize the dive log is to have your dive attendant record information on a tablet as the dive occurs. Not only will this provide more accurate information about your dive operations, it will also allow managers to view a system dashboard and see in real time what dives are in process, which dives are complete and dives that still need to be conducted.
The three primary activities that complete the cycle for logging a dive include:
- Scheduling your dives;
- Recording each dive; and
- Approve/Reject system dives.

NOTE: Before you can begin scheduling and recording dives; there are some necessary configurations that must be complete. See our article, Dive Module - Overview for more information on how to setup your company's dive operations.
